Position Overview:
Armor Insurance Group, an established independent agency located in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a Licensed Insurance Agent/Customer Service Representative to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. This hybrid role blends high-touch client service with consultative sales. The ideal candidate is a licensed professional with strong interpersonal skills and a client-first mindset, capable of managing both inbound service needs and outbound sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to existing policyholders by managing renewals, processing endorsements, and responding to coverage inquiries.
- Proactively engage new and prospective clients to quote and bind personal and commercial insurance policies.
- Maintain accurate client records within our agency management system. (EZ Lynx)
- Assist in claim reporting and resolution follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with carriers to quote coverage options and troubleshoot underwriting issues.
- Actively contribute to the agency’s growth through cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and carrier requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license in the state of Virginia.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar customer service or sales capacity within an insurance agency.
- Strong knowledge of personal and/or commercial lines of insurance.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with rating platforms and agency management systems.
